Set an Invoice Payment Schedule

If an invoice is unable to be paid in full, set a Payment Schedule to knock down the amount owed in smaller increments.

Set a Payment Schedule for those invoices that are unable to be paid in full. AR Workflow will charge the credit card or bank account based on the schedule you select. Fees can be collected daily, weekly, or monthly.

Add a Payment Schedule

1. Navigate to the Payment screen from

  • + Quick Action Drop-Down

  • The Customer Details Screen

  • The Invoice Screen >> Action Column

2. Rather than moving forward with taking the payment, select the option for Schedule Payment

 

3. Select the Payment Method the customer wishes to use.

 

4. Add the Credit Card or Bank details and click Next.

If a customer selects ACH, they will be required to verify micro-deposits from their bank account before the payments can be processed. This is to ensure

  • The customer's bank account information is accurate (preventing bounced payments)

  • The customer agrees to have payments pulled from this account (preventing future disputes or requests for payment reversals)

 

5. Check the Invoice Number and the Installment Amount you want to charge this customer.

 

6. Make sure the Status is toggled on to activate this schedule

 

7. Next, set the Payment Interval. You have three options here:

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

 

Once you pick an interval, set how often this payment method will be charged

 

Example: Typing 15 here will charge the customer Every 15th Day at the beginning of the Day.

 

8. Set the date when the Payment Schedule will be activated. Click Done to review the Payment Schedule.

 

9. Click Create Payment Schedule to add the Payment Schedule.

Remember to always add the correct payment details of the customer to avoid payment failures once the schedule is initiated.

View/Edit Payment Plans

  • Navigate to the Payments tab

  • Select the Payment Plan tab at the top of the page

  • To edit the plan, select the pencil icon in the Activity column.
